What this covers
This policy covers katsurasystems.com and katsura.systems (the "site"), operated by Katsura LLC ("Katsura", "we"). It does not cover systems we build for clients; those run in the client's own accounts under the client's own policies, and the client is the controller of their data.
What we collect
What you send us. When you use the contact form, we receive the name, email address, company, interest, and message you enter, the page you came from on this site, and your IP address (used for spam protection and nothing else).
What the site records on its own. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, logs requests for security and performance, including IP address, user agent, and the pages requested. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not fingerprint visitors.
Fonts. Two typefaces load from Google Fonts, which means Google receives the request for the font file, including your IP address. Our brand typeface is self-hosted.
How we use it
Contact-form submissions are used to reply to you and to prepare for a conversation you asked for. As the site says, each submission is filed as a proposal in our own Katsura work-tracking system, where it becomes a project and a task once approved. It is also emailed to us through Resend, our email provider, and a confirmation is emailed to you.
We do not sell personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list because you used the form.
Who else sees it
- Cloudflare hosts the site, the form endpoint, and our Katsura system.
- Resend delivers the notification email and your confirmation.
- Google serves two font files.
No one else receives your information unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Form submissions and the proposal they create are kept as long as the resulting project is useful to us, typically until a conversation concludes or an engagement ends, after which they may be archived. Ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
Email ben@katsurasystems.com to see, correct, or delete anything we hold about you. If you are in a jurisdiction with specific privacy rights (including the EU, UK, and California), those rights apply and we will honor them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above changes with it.
